Our last stop has been Gatlinburg, TN. We enjoyed our visit to the Dixie Stampede and Dollywood. Jim looked all over the place, high and low but never saw Dolly! We ran into the Compton's from Lexington who happened to be here too. We enjoyed having dinner together with Ben, Suzanne, Charlie and Nancy. It was nice to have friends to enjoy a meal with again.

... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

... just watching traffic go by. WHAT? That is positively bizarre behaviour! And if that isn't enough punishment, Jude and I treat ourselves to some more! We spy a diner, stop and gather our courage, and head in to explore options. It is rather late by this time so it is a little late thus we both decide to go puddings. I figure I can walk it off afterwards. I was not exactly prepared to receive what came out of the kitchen! That being said, ...

We ended up stopping for the night at
Glasgow Walmart which is only half an hour to the Cave we want to
tour tomorrow. Not the best nights sleep, a 30 year old man was using
the nearly empty Walmart carpark as his personal race track. He had a
large radio controlled jeep that he was driving at like 70kms and it
made a charming roar as it raced around. Headed to sleep once that
stopped around 11pm. Ah, the joys of camping at Walmart!
