... wasn't an experienced snowshoe guide so she offered to take us for a shorter tour (rather than the full 3 hours). Given all the other participants had been notified of the cancellation we ended up having a private tour with just us - so it was perfect!
The snowshoes were so cool! They kind of look like metal animal traps you strap your feet into. We were also given poles (like ski poles) which you don't really need but we used anyway.
