Yesterday we arrived in Antalya after 2 short flights. We arrived ,minus luggage, to a lovely seaside spot with great views. We had the perfect excuse to go shopping for a new swimming costume, as we were not going to waste the opportunity to dip into the warm waters of the Mediterranean! The coastline is spectacular - very rocky with large cliffs dropping down to the ocean. We didn't get many pictures tonight because it was just turning dark. But I'm sure there will be more tomorrow and the following few ...

Ah, beautiful Antalya. Warm sunshine, beaches, azure water, open spaces, parks, water courses, film festival and an aquarium. The coast is dotted with caves that had been used by pirates in bygone days. Antalya is now a modern resort city with an atmospheric old town and a boat filled harbour.

Hadrian's gate welcomes strangers to the old town, with narrow streets and steep steps down to the harbour. Our boat trip was ...
