Final Days - Echuca, Young, Orange

... slow time, until I realised my Strava App was set to miles and not kilometres.I loped along dirt roads, and then eventually retraced my steps, not wanting to get lost.
Susanna and Daz set off before me, I had hoped to be out by 9, wanting to get to Orange by 11.
There I met up with an old school friend, Sam and had coffee and a scrumptious cookie at a lovely cafe just across from her work - Hawkes General Store, runner up in the "Best Coffee in Orange" ...

... fault, it's the red wine.

So took a loonnng walk to town this morning along the breakwater, really nice, gorgeous day about 22 c and clear blue skies, I guess winter will appear sometime!

We had an overnight stop with Sharon & Steve Curtain at Evans Head and talked all evening about one thing and another, but much of it about their new home development, which is a lovely duplex overlooking the river.

The next place we were volunteering was at an English woman called Sadie’s house for 3 days and nights helping her doing some gardening and painting. She lived in a little town called Lennox Head so after saying our farewells to Chloe we caught the public bus from Ballina to find Sadie waiting to pick us up from the stop. ... free gas BBQs set up for any to use for free, you just press a button. After that we played beach volleyball which of course we won :) Friday we went up the blue mountains which was awesome. The view from up there was nice and clear which was lucky after the weather being bad all week. It was alot of stairs down at 64 degrees which is kinda scary. We got to the bottom and were looking up at the biggest waterfall in the blue mountains. ...

It needs some work but could be a good solution to fit in a couple more people and build the practise up again. The girls love being back at school.
