Pretty good park. 20c for two minutes in the showers seem to be quite good.

This park was well set up and had everything we needed. the town has a terrible shortage of water, but we could fill up the tank for 20c for 40 lt which was very reasonable. the office were very helpful and recommended the tour.

One of the few places we've stayed where we really didn't like the vibe. This park is full of rules and warnings and proclamations by "order of THE MANAGEMENT". It's a bit like living under a Nazi regime. Despite a new, modern amenities block (in which you pay for every drop of water), the park is unloved - like the town it is in. Not a happy place.

Think we got this one at the wrong time of the year. Other than the playground the pool and most of the facilities were under construction and closed down. Due to lack of water, the showers are coin operated which was a bit of a pain. The facilities were clean and tidy and no doubt once the construction is finished it will be very nice.

Some under cover parking spots, however if it rains it is only under shade mesh and the water drops through. Facilities, camp kitchen etc. were fantastic.

We stayed in July, a very busy time.
The owner checked us in & told us to choose a site. All sites are close to the amenities block, whick is large & fairly new. Had to pay $3 for a shower, but that is the case at every caravan park in town. The onsite pizza bar is great . Would definatley stay here again, & have alreay recommended it to others.

We spent 5 nights in Stuart Range caravan park. Apparently they are making changes to the main area in their park and they are currently using their "overflow" area for their current visitors. Well, they pack them in like sardines here! Some poor campers in caravans couldn't even put their awnings out because the traveler next to them was that close! The amenities were ok, 3 toilets and 3 showers (for the ladies) but one toilet and one shower was closed. One toilet was blocked so one toilet and two showers to cater for all those travellers. Not good enough - especially at $30 night with no water and you had to pay for a 3 minute shower. I have to say we were disappointed!

Over the last week we have all succumbed to the mighty flu. What a nasty one this has been. Even the good old flu shot and Brendan's go to cod liver tablets couldn't keep this one at bay. In fact I haven't seen Brendan as sick since we were in Italy years ago. Hopefully now we can start to enjoy our road trip without the nasty bugs and endless …

Yesterday we packed up said goodbye to Fudge. Then we got a t-shirt and two road signs. Then we went and got a jumper for me at the camel farm. Then we drove 722 kilometres. We drove and drove for hours on end. When we got to Coober Pedy (the opal capital of the world,) we set up in the dark. Then we went and got pizza. While we ate our marvellous …

It took a little bit to get going this morning as we needed to wait for the souvenir shops to open and we need to say good bye to Fudge. We hit the road just before 10am and were high tailing it as far as we could get.

Not much to see along the way except for the obligatory stop for a photo of the fake Uluru, yes Mt Connor. Our only other …

Did you know that millions of years ago the area around town was an inland sea? Dinosaur era creatures lived and swam in this sea. The sands of the shore were rich in minerals especially silica. There were shell fish that lived on the bottom of the sea and when they died their shells remained there until they gradually washed away. When they washed …

After checking into the caravan park i set out for a walk to stretch the legs. The first building i came across was the Croatian clubhouse. Later i found out there is also a Serbian one, an Italian one and a Greek one. Walking on, i saw shop after shop selling opals, 2 supermarkets, 2 bakeries, 3 op shops, 3 fuel stations, 2 grog shops, 1 bank and …
