Nice park but it was very wet and we didn't use all of the facilities as a result. Great showers and huge caravan sites. The camp kitchen was excellent and has extra fridge facilities if required.

One of the cleanest well run parks in Australia. Plenty of activities for the kids and excellent nightly activities kept us entertained our entire stay. Top 5 park in Australia for sure.

We have had a great time here, using it as our base in Alice. The only complaint is the noisy school groups that we happened to be camping opposite.

High standard Big 4 park. Personal guidance to site, great amenities. Clean beyond expectations, quiet even with the Finke racers camped there. Very nice place to stay.
Signage on the highway could be improved, we missed it and ended up in town.

Very Expensive but the best in Alice Springs

    Reviewed Oct 18, 2011
by (6 reviews) , Australia Flag of Australia

All the caravan parks in Alice Springs are over priced but very ordinary. This one is even more over priced but is the best park in Alice. They really care for their grounds - they spend a lot of time looking after the grass so that every site has nice green grass and there are lots of trees and shrubs. And the pool is also very well maintained. It was cleaned every day including cleaning out the filters. But the ammenities blocks could use some work and considering the amount you have to pay they could provide shower curtains and paper towel!

Had heard lots of great things about the park, & it lived up to my expectations. Very clean & tidy park, With large amenities blocks close to most sites. Lots of hot water. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The dessert van located inside the park (winter months), was a real hit. I think nearly all campers, plus some from nearby parks, turned up here for dessert every night. Would definatley stay here again, & would recommend to others.

Coldest night ever -6 degrees. We were freezing as we didn't have our warmest sleeping bags.
Today was our last day with Brian and Lesley and the Harwoods which is sad.
We all squashed into two cars because Brian was having his Mazda CX5 serviced. The first garage he called said they couldn't service it under warranty because "nobody buys …

Lift Um Foot, Put him back down. Never a truer word was written..

We did the Mereenie Loop today which is an unmade corrugated road. This in itself was no issue, we'd done the Oodnadatta track no probs and taken the camper off road before. The complication was Glen had convinced Brian and Lesley this was an easy road and way shorter than …

What a chilly time spent in Alice Springs, the night we arrived got down to -3.7 degrees, which isn't fun in a large tent.

The next day wasn't too much better, it was sunny but didn't get above 15 degrees. That didn't stop us as we headed out to the Alice Springs Desert Park before checking out the Alice Springs School of the Air. This …

We drove into Alice Springs and started searching desperately for a new heater. Our old one still works, it's dads from when he was eighteen. We could only find column and patio heaters. We set up at MacDonnell ranges caravan park.

Yesterday we got up and went to the desert park. It was like a mini zoo. We saw many animals including …

We're on the road again, and just to keep our mate Shayne happy, I’d like to mention that we’ve covered 1421kms getting to Alice Springs in 4 days. Okay with those numbers Shayne???? Just so you don’t get too upset, I’m making sure that we don’t drop into the 20 – 60kms per day range!!
