      Wet in Alice!

Nice park but it was very wet and we didn't use all of the facilities as a result. Great showers and huge caravan sites. The camp kitchen was excellent and has extra fridge facilities if required.

We have had a great time here, using it as our base in Alice. The only complaint is the noisy school groups that we happened to be camping opposite.

High standard Big 4 park. Personal guidance to site, great amenities. Clean beyond expectations, quiet even with the Finke racers camped there. Very nice place to stay.
Signage on the highway could be improved, we missed it and ended up in town.

Very Expensive but the best in Alice Springs

      Reviewed Oct 18, 2011
by (6 reviews) , Australia Flag of Australia

All the caravan parks in Alice Springs are over priced but very ordinary. This one is even more over priced but is the best park in Alice. They really care for their grounds - they spend a lot of time looking after the grass so that every site has nice green grass and there are lots of trees and shrubs. And the pool is also very well maintained. It was cleaned every day including cleaning out the filters. But the ammenities blocks could use some work and considering the amount you have to pay they could provide shower curtains and paper towel!

Had heard lots of great things about the park, & it lived up to my expectations. Very clean & tidy park, With large amenities blocks close to most sites. Lots of hot water. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The dessert van located inside the park (winter months), was a real hit. I think nearly all campers, plus some from nearby parks, turned up here for dessert every night. Would definatley stay here again, & would recommend to others.

On our way to Alice, we detoured to Gemtree, a bush camp, near the Hart Ranges gem fields. A day searching for garnets, turned up 35 stones suitable for cutting, and a bag of show and tell. The second day was spent searching for zircons (which was decidedly harder) given, at the time we could not tell the difference between apatite and zircons!!! …
