Making our way homewards-Slowly

A travel blog entry by kft

Hello again everyone,

It has been a while since I last gave you an update and we have moved quite a way from Townsville since then.

We are currently at the Big4 at Forest Glen which is near Buderim and just off the M1. We were lucky to score a seniors special discount of $10 per night which made the rate $33/n2A/pwd. We are here …

Day 35 - Brisbane to Forest Glen

A travel blog entry by sarah_22

Friday 7th December - Camper van pick up day! Once packed and ready to set off on the next leg of my travels Simon kindly gave me a lift to the Brisbane Britz branch to meet Ollie and pick up our motorhome. We sorted paperwork and then had to watch an instructive/cheesy DVD which I didn't pay much attention to out of sheer excitement (huge fail …

On the Road Again

A travel blog entry by roastbeefnolive

16/11 on the road again For the first time in 3 weeks we had to pack up lock, stock and barrel and take the train to the airport with all our gear.  Sydney had decided to send us off with a spot of rain, but it was only a short walk to central station where we boarded a train to the airport.  For this part of our journey we had planned to take an …

... followed by BBQ and beers!! Visited a few national parks. Noosa national park we walked a very long walking trail, saw some amazing sights, turtles swimming in the sea too which was pretty awesome. Another national park had a nice little trek down to a lovely rock pool, where so many locals were taking a dip, or jumping in swinging on a rope, which of course Steve and his friends did, whilst Kelly kept a nice ...

Noosa day 2

A travel blog entry by tash-and-gav

Slept terribly due to one of our roomies being an old man who drinks all day and night and also snores all night. Very annoying! Anyway up bright and early for the zoo but unfortunately it was raining! Torrential rain! Zoo was an hour bus journey from the hostel and was worth the visit. Gav was a little disappointed I think as he wanted the people doing the croc show to be ...

Park is quiet despite nearby highway, powered sites really need an upgrade to cope with todays larger caravans. Amenities are very good and the camp kitchen is excellent. Park is close to many attractions and pricing is reasonable. Good tourist info at reception and tour bookings/tickets available at discounted prices. we have been here before and will return again in the future.
