Park is quiet despite nearby highway, powered sites really need an upgrade to cope with todays larger caravans. Amenities are very good and the camp kitchen is excellent. Park is close to many attractions and pricing is reasonable. Good tourist info at reception and tour bookings/tickets available at discounted prices. we have been here before and will return again in the future.

Australien Zoo …

Today we visited Australia Zoo and timed our arrival just as the gates opened as planned. Now I've always been a bit skeptical of Steve Irwin and to tell the truth, I wasn't exactly sure whether I would like the Zoo or not. Lets just say that within 3 minutes after arrival I was totally blown away and the day just kept getting better and better. We …

Today we traveled up and down the Sunshine coast from top to tail. Olga became the tour guide once again and had us headed for the Eumindi Markets. Its a very large market that runs Wednesdays and Sundays and it was packed. Luke and Zoe purchased a hat each, Olga a set of earrings and me, well I got the Stubby Strip... As seen on TV. At the end we …

The day started out with a nice 300km drive south to the Sunshine coast, but after a major blemish on my good character and Olga's interpretation of mule reading a map we finally made it to our destination... Mule, or maybe a jack ass as I'm sure that came up in conversation and firmly direct at me.To get things back on track, we veered off the …

... accommodation (two nights in a tent and one in a hostel with shared bathroom) and also great value at the equivalent of £64 per night. We ordered an Indian takeaway (delivered to the apartment) and treated ourselves to a bottle of fizz. A lovely low key evening with our own TV, just what we needed! The best thing is we have a lie in tomorrow, such good timing for us to recharge our batteries ready for New Zealand in a couple of days ...
