Park is quiet despite nearby highway, powered sites really need an upgrade to cope with todays larger caravans. Amenities are very good and the camp kitchen is excellent. Park is close to many attractions and pricing is reasonable. Good tourist info at reception and tour bookings/tickets available at discounted prices. we have been here before and will return again in the future.

Said our farewells to Penny and Steve and headed north. On the way stopped off at the Robina shopping centre and bought Brian some Sketchers for $100 at Myer and a vac for van for $49 at Big W. Rang Jeanette and Lee in the way and they have changed their plans and not heading to Charters Towers or Townsville, but will head to Rockhampton. Arrived …

... great day. In the Crocoseum we watched a stunning bird show with the classic 'bird takes dollar note out of person in audiences hand' and various other birdy delights.

Then the Irwin family made an appearance, Bob blowing out his candles and everyone singing him happy birthday before he fed a croc. Santa also made an appearance and was encouraged to get in the water to greet 'Monty' in the pool. The croc swum out of his area, up channels to the main pool ...

After pushing the miles for the last week, and bush camping, we decided a couple of days by the coast were needed, so have ended up in Toorbul, a stone's throw from Bribie Island. The tides are big (compliments of the full moon) but the water is like a mill pond. Fantastic variety of birds (both waterbirds and bush birds) and roos that roam the whole town and come right to the esplanade/waterfront. We were so lucky to snag these two nights here (booked up over the weekend). ...

We were saddened this week by the news that our Daughter in Law's Father passed away unexpectantly. Jim was a lovely man and will be missed by his family and friends. On a happier note, Terry's sister Pat, phoned to say she is coming to the Gold Coast to stay with us, Simone and Family, and Terry's Brother and Sister in Law at the Main Beach Tourist Park in August. The last time we were all together was Simone's wedding, 11 years ago. Simone has ...
