An expansive caravan park with many different types of accommodation. The park was in a natural bush environment with lots of shade. We had an ensuite site which had a huge shower and nice clean facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful, able to book our day trips from the reception area. My only criticism from a parents point of view, was the pool and playground were at opposite ends of the park, making it along walk from one thing to another for little kids. And some of the areas of the park looked a little "tired" like the place needed a bit of a tidy up.

Was somewhat disappointed in this accommodation as it presented well on the internet and is a Big 4 van site. We expected better. The worst nights sleep I have had, the fridge kept cutting in and out with a load clicking noise and running fairly noisily. The bottom of the fridge door was all rusted, did not look good at all. The room was fairly small but at least clean, the curtains had a tear in them. The air conditioner was very noisy, sounded like the bearings had gone in the motor so we turned it off.

Kl. 16 hoppede ungerne …

kl. 9. forlod vi campingpladsen i Rockhampton (Discovery - BIG 4). Det var stadig meget overskyet og …

Day 9 of our big trip and we are relaxing at beautiful Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef.

We have spent the previous few days staying with friends in Mackay only a short 90 minute drive from Airlie. Arriving Thursday, Gav and I struggled to set up the caravan and annex in the middle of a very warm …

The weather bureau have been incredibly accurate (except for the crazy storm over Hook Island the other day), and have allowed us to plan for the best three days on the water! What a fantastic experience. But, the winds are meant to be picking up, so we are leaving Hamilton Island this morning and heading back to Airlie Beach. We have one last …
