... delighted to arrive at a real life ski jumping slope. The slope is moosive and covered in astro-turf. We took the chair lift up and watched guys aged between around 13 and 35 catapult themselves off a cliff and into the abyss, with one mistake certain to either leave them dead or severely injured. Crazy crazy Polish chaps, I sat watching them for some time, mouth wide open, with my head on a swivel like a Wimbledon final. The highest peak of the Tatras mountains is almost ...

Finally hit the UNESCO world site, the Debno church, 10 years oldèr than the church at Lopuszna, and the lady who minds it was on lunch break. ... apparent that we are the biggest and most obvious type of tourist as we were the only ones gutsy enough to go into the alpine waters. You can practically hear the collective groups sighing the words "Must be Australian" which we were and proud of it. We had a few photos in the water then I turn around and look out towards the mountains and then down into the crystal blue clear waters and take a leap and submerse myself into the ice cold waters. Look it was cold, but probably the ...

... the top for a bit before taking the funicular down and wandering around the markets. Tried and then bought some smoked sheep's cheese (I think the region's specialty) and then also bought a lacy tablecloth with embroidered butterflies. The shop lady was very nice and taught us how to say thank you in Polish. Forgot almost immediately. Ah well.

Came back to the hostel and had a lovely ...
