Rest days at the Augrabies Falls
A very long drive to the falls. The flow of water is controlled by a damn so the water wasn't very big.
We had a good run in with an endemic lizard that lives here that was featured on the famous documentary, Planet Earth.
Orange River
We were packed up and on the road again at 7am and en route to Orange River in South Africa. Another punctured tire forced us to stop for an hour on the side of the road just before the Namibia- South Africa border. Augrabies falls
Today was an extremely busy day with lots of time spent in the National park. We got up pretty early (6:30) in order to be able to have our breakfast and head out to do the Dassie trail, which is a hike you can do in the park.

Clanwilliam to Augrabies National Park
This morning we slept in and didn't order breakfast until 8:30; we felt that we needed it and indeed slept until the alarm clock went off to wake us up, despite the fact that we were in bed before 10 PM. Breakfast took quite a long time since the other couple with the kids had also ordered breakfast at that time and so there were 2 South African girls cooking that up for everyone and thus we didn't actually get our eggs until well past 9 o'clock, although we of course had ...

Danasnji dan ni bil tako dolg. Samo enih 400 (glede na vcerajsnjih 700 je bila kratka).
Pot naju je vodila cez polpuscavo, ki je bila enkrat bolj in enkrat manj posuta z travicami, rozami in grmicki. Na teh grmickih so se pasle krave in ovce, ki sozgledale precej dobro rejene (samo ne vem ce je bila to zasluga te trave). Pokrajina se je spreminjala vsakih 20km...bolj zeleno...vec sipin (tokrat bolj rjave)...pa spet vec peska...pa grmicki...pa celo drevesa..pa ...
