I love this family! After a short few hours I found myself watching the bachelorette in my robe with Stef (the mum) which to me says it all. The street is very safe, peaceful and pretty with big trees and big pretty homes. The Webster's house is beautiful and high up with a timber walk way to the front door. ... energy and noise and excitement at the same time? So away we went.

We parked in the same spot as last year, a soccer park next to Champlain College, and just beside Jacques-Cartier Bridge, our gateway to the islands. This location is perfect because it is not clogged with race-goers, just cyclists and soccer-players. We joined the bike path just past the parking lot and winded our way behind ...

... le Sainte Hélène, walk through the park and across the bridge to Île Notre Dame, home to the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. Just over an hour from our studio door to being in our seat (on the scaffold plank) in the grandstand.

The result made up for any negatives however, as Champion elect, Lewis Hamilton won the race, leading pretty much from start to finish. The race wasn't as dramatic as some Canadian Grand Prix races have been, in ...
