Hocking Hills is near Logan, Ohio. The trip from Peoria to this area was flat and straight across the state. Arriving on the edge of Wayne National Forest I stopped at a Visitors center and picked up a map of the are. This is an amazing area with a wonderful story. The trail between Ash Cave and Old Man's cave is called the Grandma Gatewood Trail. She was quite the gal.

Because you never know what you’ll learn about yourself or this wonderful world until you step out of that ...

My last night before getting to New Jersey was a cool breezy
one, so I decided to car camp after having dinner at a Golden Corral buffet
outside Gallipolis, Ohio. One thing I like about Appalachia is that whenever I
travel through it I always feel so thin! Every year we hear about the increase
in the percentage of Americans who are overweight or obese with southern and Midwestern
states at the head of the pack. The difference ...

We got to Canal Winchester last night. We are staying at Jarrod's dad's house. Visiting Grandpap, Grandma Carol and Ben. Not wanting to spend Porters birthday on the road we spent the day at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Porter had a great day starting with a present first thing (camera) and French toast. The zoo was amazing. Hot and exhausting, but awesome!! Had a great time celebrating Porters birthday with Grandpap, Grandma Carol and ...
