Wow! Early 3:45 am wake up this morning for early flights and a long travel day. Sydney travelled separately and we all had connecting flights in different countries and cities which made for a stressful day but we persevered! Hocking Hills is near Logan, Ohio. The trip from Peoria to this area was flat and straight across the state. Arriving on the edge of Wayne National Forest I stopped at a Visitors center and picked up a map of the are. This is an amazing area with a wonderful story. The trail between Ash Cave and Old Man's cave is called the Grandma Gatewood Trail. She was quite the gal.

Because you never know what you’ll learn about yourself or this wonderful world until you step out of that ...

I tend to think of most towns in Ohio has being dominated by
factories but passed through two on the way, Lebanon and Wilmington, that had
very nice town centers with historic buildings, farmers markets taking place,
and bed and breakfast inns, a pleasant surprise. The route took me through the
last counties I had not yet been through in Ohio, so with Gallia County on the
Ohio River I can now say ...
