Salida and Pueblo

... mocha, actually ask for a 'frappacino' because otherwise it is literally just the hot version of the drink you've asked for with ice chucked in. At this particular place it was even served in a coffee mug but with a straw through the sipping hole of the coffee mug. A bit odd and well I guess I've learnt my lesson now. When we got to Pueblo we did a big bit of shopping around the edge of the city. There are heaps of big store off the highway for all sorts of things ...

First we left town to the west to view the mountains in Maroon Bells in the National Forest. This is a short walk along Maroon Lake you don't want to miss. At the visitor center we viewed about a hundred five-inch tiles on which children had sculpted creatures and insects that are found in the ...

It was a pleasant ride climbing the mountains leaving Estes Park behind. It had not long broken the dawn and a beautiful Elk was standing on the verge road-side, he looked at us as if to say we disturb his peace. The ride through Nederland and then onto Central City was beautiful, endless mountains. Then at Black Hawk /Central City we were shocked to see the casino mayhem, tall fancy buildings calling for your attention. The road ...
