    It was very cold and wet this morning. We all ate a good breakfast in preparation for riding up Monarch Pass. Everything took so long to dry, because it was still cloudy. It was a pain.     After leaving Scott's Bluff we headed North West back into Wyoming headed for Fort Laramie. All the way I could hear the tune of F Troop playing in my head. We crossed the Platte river seeing the historic Platte river bridge that opened up new avenues for the early settlers.
