... to be a great experience. We felt like part of the family. Bailey and Gina opened the kitchen and allowed Steve to bartend. After all, they were busy preparing our gormet dinner. We met some great people (Hello, Kim and Meg). Once daylight came, we realized that the view from Bay Hill Towers must be the best in St Vincent. And... we could see Bequia from our room.
...so close but still a million miles away (we thought about swimming it)
... floor overlooking the pool and ocean. Rodney Bay area was a bit too tourista for us. It was reminiscent of spring break. To be fair, we did not have an opportunity to explore outside the immediate area. We had our first chicken Roti at Lime- average. Spent the morning on Reduit Beach in St. Lucia. Very nice and relaxing.
... us wide awake. Word to the wise, all bags (from the Atl) must be checked within 1 hour before international flights. We squeaked by with exactly one minute to spare (maybe less).

... haul, although I have to say Virgin was very good. The flight was first thing in the morning, the food good and a good choice of films. I also started to get to know my fellow travelers, of whom were 7 women between 26 and 65, and two guys in their twenties. They had traveled from Ireland, Scotland and England for this trip and most had never visited the Caribbean.

I was already imagining the stunning beaches I would see, gorgeous hotels I would be visiting, the yummy food I might be eating and planning what to pack even before the trip was confirmed. Castries, Saint Lucia paulatluxury... first showed us the somber-looking Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in the downtown Castries, we never had a chance though to check out inside. Then 3 miles south of Castries we stop to see the best of the town and island from Fort Charlotte on Morne Fortune or also known as "Hill Of Luck"...the view was magnificent! we can watch some cruise ship battle out for the prime spot in the port ...

The capital of St. Lucia is Castries where 50,000 people live whereas 160,000 live elsewhere on the island. It measures 14 miles (east/west) and 27 miles (north/south) and English is the official language. The island draws tourists from around the world who come here for its exotic tropical landscape, superb beaches, crystalline waters, colourful marine life and lets not forget, romance.

... been temperamental with stinking hot one minute and pouring rain the next but Christmas Day was sunny and hot all day so by 2 o'clock we were ready to celebrate our 5 course Christmas Dinner. Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia bellavitaSt Lucia: This was my favorite island and the cleanest. The people of St Lucia take great pride in the appearance of their island and love tourists. We spent our day at Rodney Beach where you'll find many of the islands resorts nearby and the hot night spots for those staying at these properties...definitely an island to return to for a week-long visit. We anchored and tendered at this island
