Had a nice visit with other guests Marty & Bruce & then headed off to town to wander up & down Main street. Lots of nice little shops to look in. We had lunch in the City bakery on the back deck. Nice day today. Headed off after lunch on hwy #276 to get onto & drive a loop of the Blueridge Parkway. Stopped at just about ...

Good news. We did wake up and weren't violated by the redneck Bud screamed at last night. The morning was humid, foggy, and overcast. We took scenic route 50 through the beautiful Tennessee countryside to Lynchburg, home of the Jack Daniels Distillery. We started at the Iron Kettle with a breakfast of southern sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuits and home fries swimming ...

... the bags! Of course I mocked her. But I have to admit, when the dogs started barking later on in the night, I had to wonder... So today is our first view of the cabin in the day. Hot tub, pool table, kitchens, whirlpool bath, television with cable, rocking chair on the decking, I'm in heaven! And to make it better, today we have planned nothing! A whole day, not leaving the cabin, just relaxing and recouping! Driving 3000 miles in 2 weeks is, after all, ...
