Near to Mickie and not bad at all.

Despite being in a busy urban location, this park is actually OK. There isn't a tonne of grass, and it's pretty tight between spots, but it's laid out well for getting in and out of them. The washrooms are plentiful and clean, and the staff are super helpful with all the logistics around going to see Mickie and other area attractions. There is a very nice club house with coffee and tea available when the office is open, and free muffins in the morning. I didn't use it but the pool looks clean. The deck around it is not large. There is noise from I-5 at the west end, but I asked to be placed away from the freeway when I made reservations and I was located at the exact opposite end as per my request. The wifi is free and nice and strong.

Very centrally located for Disney and there is a bus which stops outside and takes you straight to the parks. The facilities are ok including a nice pool and spa. Obviously because this is in the middle of a city you expect it to be busy around you however I was concerned that there is no outer fence to the park so you have to watch your kids. Would stay here again though if visiting Disney

Two weeks stay were OK. Just OK, nothing spectacular though. Their pool and hot tub are super small and enclose with a wroth iron fence. If more that five people are in it, there is not room to safely and comfortably do some laps. The pictures on their web page makes them look a lot bigger than they are. The Internet speed is fairly good. It is close to all services and Disneyland and the fireworks from the park can easily be seen from here.
        Bathrooms are tidy and clean.
I would recommend it to others and mind them that the white noise made by the constant traffic on the highway near bye, can be an issue specially the sites at the back of the park. For a light sleeper without a good RV insulated unit, might be a slight problem.

Today I decided my ultimate destination would be Santa Monica Pier, but that I'd wander a bit before getting there. I didn't stop to take too many pictures because most of what I saw is stuff you've all seen pictures of anyway and I wouldn't have been able to cover as much ground if I stopped frequently.

        I started at the …

Yesterday was time for me to leave all the yucky stuff going on in the world behind and enter into that "happiest place on earth", Disneyland. I was about the 20th guest into the park at the 9 opening and I didn't leave till 11:30 pm. I was exhausted, had really irritated my SI joint and eaten too many calories (yes, I had a …

Let me start by adding my condolences to those of other Canadians and people from around the world to the people of France, for their losses with the horrific terrorist acts there today. They will be in our thoughts as we carry on with our lives, with increased vigilance perhaps, but carry on nonetheless, or the terrorists win. I only hope that …

... didn't feel like dinner. Matt grabbed some from Carl's Jnr when we arrived back at hotel.

Came inside and did some repacking and throwing out of a few things, especially shoes.

Matt has just booked for us to fly from Las Vegas back to LA rather than sit on a bus for 6 hours as was planned so that will be good. It now means we have another day in LA so will have to think about what we can do. Matt would like to go to Santa Monica on one of the days which would be ...

... my main emotion was relief that I didn’t have to be responsible for keeping the thing on the road anymore.

The new owner flew down from Oregon 3 days before our departure. I picked him up from the airport and drove him to the bank to show him through it and cash his cheque. The owner was stoked and full of praise for the ford V10. As he pulls out into central LA traffic it felt so good to just have my skateboard. As I asked directions to the beach a woman in ...
