Tsumago day 17; Travelling along the old merchants
Vandaag heb ik 1 groot punt op de planning staan, een stukje van de nakasendo afwandelen. Magome, het dorpje waar ik heen wil ligt op amper 8 kilometer van Tsumago en in totaal maak je maar een kleine 800 hoogtemeters, reden genoeg om de wandeling in de 2 richtingen te doen dus, hoewel de uitbaatster van de minshuku me zeker 3 keer vraagt van waar ik dan net de bus plan te nemen.
Tsumago toont zich ook overdag even betoverend als vorige nacht. De huizen ...
Kiso Fukushima day 16; The old Edo days
... toegangspoort, het bulletin-bord van het shogunaat,... Een kleine tussenstop onderweg om toch even de benen te strekken lijkt me dus wel op zijn plaats.
Erg lang kan ik wel niet blijven want om 6 uur wordt het avondmaal in de minshuku reeds opgediend. Na een tempel te bezoeken en wat doorheen de straatjes te lopen snel ik dus maar terug richting het station om mijn reis naar Tsumago verder te zetten.

10. Train station master kicking us out at of the warm waiting room at midnight which resulted in us wearing our beanies and huddling in our sleeping bags outside trying to keep warm for an hour until our bus came!
