    Shopping ... unsuccessfully

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 08, 2015

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

... was a 5-hour trip including stops for lunch and gas but it was so much fun we did it twice.

We also visited the River Walk twice, once in the daytime and once at night. It was especially beautiful at night with 1 million twinkling Christmas lights hung from the trees and all along the walk. They even had carolers in the riverboats too. It is lovely.

It was cool to see the Alamo again. It had been about 15 years since ...

... Alamo!) we grabbed breakfast at "Hesters" which was a great suggestion from our host of the last two nights.

Drove the short 2 hours to San Antonio and checked into our hotel El Tropicano. The hotel is right on the river, so we dropped off our bags and hit up the San Antonio's #2 attraction the River Walk.

After a nice day yesterday it's once again freezing in Texas,so we pretty much had the river to ourselves. We walked north from our hotel and ...
