Well, today was a fun day. We started out by taking a ferry across Lake Champlain from Grande Isle, VT to Plattsburgh, NY. We just drove onto the ferry and sat in the RV while we crossed. We were the first ones to board and they had us park right down front so it looked as if the RV were in the water from our seats. Beckett loved it. It was a nice smooth ride that only lasted about 15 - 20 minutes.
... gotten so far up - the water level is much higher at this time for some reason. We played around a bit - I tried to go up the creek but didn't want to risk capsizing since it was still a bit chilly. I didn't mind the cool water on my quick-drying pants but still didn't want to get totally wet...or have an accident.

By this time, we had pretty much given up on paddling today. I was very lethargic and afraid of getting cold despite borrowing a shirt and jacket and pair of sox from Otto. Otto laughed at the striped sox and said that Barb always makes fun of these sox and wants to get rid of them. I was glad that they hadn't yet because they kept my feet warmer.

... later in the depths of the lake. After a quick lunch in Lake Placid we headed to Montreal. We expected a 3 hour drive but didn't count on nearly a two hour wait to cross the border. ... at Dancing Bear always gave us an enthusiastic "yeah" with any request we made. Our breakfast waitress at Dancing Bear barely spoke beyond the necessary questions and comments. We ate dinner at Player's Sports Bar two nights. Cassie, our waitress was also an enthusiastic college students studying math. We also saw her at while eating breakfast around town.
