Our first stop was Dunkeld where we had a yummy lunch at the three star rated 'Royal Mail Hotel' Grandpa and. Dad had Wagyu beef and I had Salmon - Check out the photos. By chance we have stayed at the Adelaide Caravan park during the middle of the huge fringe Festival. We rode our bikes from the caravan park into the city via the botanical gardens each day. We visited the festival hub, museum, library and the zoo. We picked up a nice 2 nd hand bike for Grace too. The lovely Coordinator of the Coorong clean up …

Today we walked down to the bus stop then caught a bus and a train to the Adelaide Show at the Showgrounds.

We were there all day.

It is very similar to the Melbourne Show but on a smaller scale.

Early on there were no large crowds and it was easy to get around. Later this afternoon the crowds grew to be quite large. …

Torrens (5 km) Park Run 19:47 (4th) - a new PB

This morning we headed off to the Adelaide Zoo, walking along the river to get there.

We spent all day at the zoo, getting around to see all the exhibits and also seeing most of the feedings and keeper presentations. We got to see the lions being fed twice as they gave them a snack …

This is a van park for campervans and small caravans, as well as tent campers. There are also cabins available for hire. It is 2km away from the heart of Adelaide and very close to the Botanical Gardens, which makes it's location perfect for either walking or catching a bus to town. Amenities were clean and adequate however there was no camp kitchen only bbqs. There is a corner shop nearby and there is a pub quite close where meals are served. Staff at the van park were friendly and helpful.
