... mountains, and it didn't disappoint! Even the hotels and fast food restaurants stuck with the alpine theme! We soaked in the atmosphere for a bit before heading to the cabin, which was an adventure in itself! ... it our base camp for a few days. Forest Hills Resort, 13 miles out of town is a large farm with individual log cabins that can be rented. Ours featured a hot tub, fire place, wrap-around porch and beautiful views of mountain forest. Horse riding, wagon trails and a intimate chapel are all perks of Forest Hills but we opted for the hiking trials instead. Breakfast is included but dinners can be reserved. Well worth saving ...

... movies at night, or curling up for a well-deserved nap. The dogs always come with me, and they are so tired by the end of the day, there is rarely a sound from them, other than snoring or puppy chatter as they chase whatever it is that they see in their dreams.

I like that I can request a massage on the deck, pick my time of day; or ask the local chef to plan an extravagant dinner. I ...
