The final Brazilian chapter....
... which was clean, simple with friendly staff and a fabulous roof bar overlooking the marina (which we had almost exclusively to ourselves).
Our first full day was occupied with an excursion to a small island called Morro de Sao Paulo. This involved a taxi, then a ferry, then a coach, then another ferry and finally a short walk to the beach! Well worth it. In 3 hours of travel we had escaped the dark clouds and heavy downpour of Salvador and were now sweating ...

The tour was really excellent and started with a pretty scary ride on the back of a motor bike up the steep narrow streets to get to the top ...
Buzios Beach Bums!
Stunning Buzios - 15th-21st December 2006 Set off east of Rio for sun, sand and sea to Buzios. After a hot, swerving taxi we arrived at our Beach House. The house was beyond our dreams with stunning views over gardens, pool and beach. We even had a housekeeper thrown in! We hired a really cool red beach buggy to explore the beaches, bays and countryside, bliss!! Bargain shopping ...
