    As the boys are with their billeted families today, the rest of us headed off to the local factory outlet shops for some retail therapy. There was many a bargain to be had. We all left the bus with the wise words of Mr. Glen Hannah "Remember, it's only a bargain if you need it." This was meet with a 50% approval from the members of the bus.

    ... angle/height that it was really a work out for our thighs. No doubt mine could have used it, but combined with the heat it didn’t really promote the leisurely, blissful ride I had hoped. I did see heaps of wild deer though, casually chilling in the dry and overrun riverbed. As well as squirrels again, and two very strange looking turkeys, that more resembled dinosaurs than birds. Quite fitting really.

    ... We walked through the rest of the town on our way back and stopped in a few little stores and a coffee shop, before making our final stop in the city, Gunther's. This is the very popular ice cream shop, quite deep into the residential area of Sacramento. We arrived to see a queue going out of the shop and down the sidewalk, this meant even more that we had to try it, as the majority were locals in the line. I think I like the southern portion better; and there is a cute little western town attached to it, which we really didn’t get a chance to explore and since the temperature was going to be in the 100s the next day we decided that without electricity we didn’t want to hang around, and in National Parks you don’t have electricity when camping.
