Miserable day today weather wise and so was my mood. Although I did perk up when I stumbled across Madison Square Park...I spent a few hours just hanging out taking photos...getting lost in the colours and the rain. It borders 5th Ave, Broadway and Madison Ave of course. It is believed to be the birthplace of baseball because that's where the first baseball club was formed. It is an impressive vista, and ...

... and got ready to present myself as an awake human being. At 5:45 we were leaving with the T towards South Station, to take the bus from there. The bus would take approximately a little over 4 hours and we would arrive in NYC around 11:30AM. After our napping in the bus trip, we arrived in NYC. We firstly went for a lunch, but right after that, we walked towards Times Square. NYC, the city of extreme high buildings, check, weird and sometimes disgusting smells, check, large ...

... that flight. After a quick one-hour layover in London, we boarded the twelve-hour flight to Johannesburg. I sat next to a nice young Scottish girl who was traveling to Cape Town with a group of friends, but we didn't chat much since it was an overnight flight and we both took advantage of the time to sleep. I did watch American Hustle at some point in the middle of the night, which was really quite good.
