... everybody and hearing how Helen's volunteering had gone. I was in Barbados for two weeks, the first week I spent with Helen, then the middle weekend Jade and James came over from Trinidad, then the final week was just me.

... then shoots off a a high speed, completely unexpected to twists, turns & loop the loops! It slows down at one point and you think the ride is over, but then takes off ago an at high speed! Tam and I come off dizzy but laughing! Great, great fun, if only there was more time and we could go on again!! The park was now closing so it was time to get some food. We want to go to Margaritaville but the wait time is too long so we head to the Hard Rock Cafe instead for a sandwich and ...
... huuuuuge alligators chilling out in the shallow waters.
Back on land, we saw an alligator show and were even able to hold a baby alligator – now I understand why these guys are used for handbags and stuff – they are incredibly smooth and soft, you'd never guess! Amazing! I suppressed the urge of cuddling that little fella – he would have probably bitten my nose off or something. And I really like my nose, of course.
I woke up at 8:30 am this morning and still thought it was the middle of the night. But then I peeked and saw that Mom was up and looked at the clock. I figured I should probably get up, even though I really wanted to go back to sleep. Our first port of call on the cruise tomorrow starts at 7 am, so I need to get used to getting up early.
Our room was on the side of the hotel, so we had a view of Miami Beach and of downtown Miami. Very cool. It looked warm and sunny ...
... We checked into our room on Level 6. This ship has 11 levels with staterooms on levels 2-9 with food and beverage outlets filling the top 2 levels. We headed to the bar for a drink to watch the ship cruise out of Miami. It did, then it was time to get ready for dinner. One bag arrived safely, the other was on level 1 for a security check.
