... desk recommended a restaurant called Ceviche Arigato - a Peruvian Japanese fusion joint. I was a bit suspect but she recommended it highly. Sure enough, food was delicious. I had grouper with a seafood medley of octopus, clams, mussels and prawns. Marilyn had a prawn dish that she thoroughly enjoyed. The recommendation was a hit. Phew!
Groceries in hand, we returned home for an early night (well, early-ish). Off to bed for a big day tomorrow!
Arrived approximately 6am on Spirit flight 597. Minneapolis to Ft. Lauderdale.
Spent $25 on a shuttle from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami Airport.
Hopped a ride from cousins to their Miami Beach apartment home where I will spend the night.

We signed up for the internet at the computer room and I made an appointment for a shellac for my nails. We walked a bit on the promenade deck and checked out the teak decking. But one of my favourite things to do is to people watch on Ocean Drive. Today I saw a fat man in a bra and miniskirt and a guy with a pet lemar like KIng Julian from Madagascar. The weird and the wonderful but I have had the best time so far and I'm looking forward to another week here.
... roadside dinner, but they served a great breakfast, and were very friendly too. A couple of things stand out about the Cracked Conch Cafe. First, the food was good; second, they were a local hangout and a whole lot of people eating there knew each other; finally, they were all friendly with the tourists as well. If you ever get to Marathon Key, be sure to stop in. The French Toast is the bomb!
