Na het
uitzichtpunt bracht de jeep ons naar de vulkaan zelf waar we weer een helse
tocht omhoog moesten lopen dus daar heb ik een paard gehuurd. De eiegenaar van
het paard had al gauw door dat ik kon rijden dus hij maakte het touw los en zei
dat ik zelf wel naar boven mocht rijden. Dit was zo gaaf! Samen met 8 andere
locals heb ik over de grote openvlakte mogen galoperen, een hoogte puntje van
mijn reis.

There is no more spiritual spot, so far, than Uluwatu. The surf spot, up against a 300-foot cliff, is a huge playing area of nearly a mile. At one end is a huge temple, which wasn't open at 6am when I swung by. and some bruises on my lower back from where my bag had rubbed. We
headed out in the hope of some food and settled on the nearby
supermarket, buying a variety of unhealthy snacks and a new stash of
plasters and some strange gunk for my itchy legs. The rest of the
evening was spent eating crisps and trying to cheer ourselves up with
some Ricky Gervais.
We
can only hope that tomorrow will be much better. The road, again,
