Our final stop was the volcanic island of Santorini. Larnaca to Santorini
Capt Axe and Maddog decided to continue to tour, and we flew to the scenic greek holiday island of Santorini...
A short hop but very bumpy....took off with full ATC until almost top of descent and then we were on our own...
Capt Axe decided on one of his flap rattling comet approaches but managed a good landing....paralell runways but obviously the runway we chose used to be a taxiway!!!

White-washed wonder!
... something you have to see. Ofcourse, this time of the year there were not too many tourists which I enjoyed for its secluded feeling. We had another amazing dinner over the ocean view of local lava bean dip, Risotto, and local wine. We then headed back to Fira to a local bar that was jam-packed with locals watching a fierce Greek soccer match before heading back to our hotel on our ATV.

town being the tourist trap it is was very crowded. We explored the
area for a bit, I found some souvenirs that I wanted, I took some
great pictures and I explored the town.
When it was time to head back to the coach, we
we to the coach parking lot and had to search for the coach because
there were lots of them. We then caught the coach back to Fira town
where we were dropped off. I explored the town ...
This is the REAL Greece
... 50 or so steps from the road, but more than 100 from our room & where we ate breakfast) & must have thought we were taking the other two bags ourselves (as you would). We assumed he came back for the other bags while we were at breakfast. It was only discovered they were still outside the room when the airport transfer arrived. The poor guy must have run all the way down to our room & back with both our bags, because he was dripping with sweat when he got back ...
