A distinct feature in front of the heritage centre is the Samsui women statue. Hence, if you cannot find this place, you can ask around or look around to see if you can see a statue of the Samsui woman near you. If you see that statue, yes, it is the Chinatown Heritage Centre.

... with just only 2 bucks for non-Singaporean and free for Singaporean! The sight-seeing was air-conditioned and it has 2 floor. There were stuff that was being used by the people from the past such as the certificate and the contract where the Singaporean's first president was being choose, the typewriter that was in Malay's letters, film player where the past was used to play video on the screen and also the vintage pick up disc was also being shown.

... food there are spicy, thick, oily, herb and smells aromatic/fragrant.

  • There is North and South Indian food.
  • To differentiate them, South Indian food is spicier than North Indian food. Mostly use tamarind and coconut milk while North Indian food is not as spicy, mostly use tomato to bring sour taste and a lot of dairy product.

    ... it was delayed. Just what we needed. We landed in Melbourne with no more than an hour to go through customs (again!), collect baggage, check in and have a quick wee. Boy were we rushed!! We ran through the airport, got to customs and bag check and went through without a problem... Well, I did anyway. NO LIQUIDS ALLOWED says the sign as we enter.
