Painful experience!
Vientiane is a nice city but we can't say that there's such a huge difference from where we just came from. Maybe except the currency, kips. So many zeros! 1 Norwegian krone is 1321 kips, think about that. Feels like everything is extremely expensive when it's really not that bad at all. Chilling in Laos
... we have visited so far in Laos. We did the usual tourist hotspots as well as visiting the local History Museum which was very interesting. On the final night we arranged to meet one of our friends that we had met in the Elephant Nature Park for dinner and drinks. It was really nice to see a familiar face and enjoy a chat without having to repeat yourself and barter for anything cheaper. So our time is now done in Laos, wish us luck for Cambodia!

... unter uns lag, sorgte dafür, dass unsere Sitze nur 20 cm über dem Boden waren. Für Handgepäck und Gitarre gab es auch keinen Stauraum. Am Ende war ich froh, dass der Bus nicht ganz ausgebucht war, so dass Cigdem und ich erstmalig getrennt saßen.
Die sechsstündige Fahrt war das Erschreckendste und Schönste, was wir an Rumgereise bislang erlebt haben. Die Straßenverhältnisse in Laos sind am ehsten mit sehr sehr schlechten Feldwegen um meine Heimatstadt Dessau zu vergleichen. ...
