    ... furnishings. Morbidly, even his deathbed is proudly displayed. The lush surrounding grounds were beautiful and full of lazy iguanas. Downtown Santa Marta had an affable, local and untouristy feel. The only other site worth mentioning in the city itself was the massive white-washed cathedral, claiming to be Colombia's oldest church.

    ... was a really beautiful hike along the coast through a rainforest type climate. We enjoyed the scenery, but it was hot and super humid (think clothes like soaking wet with sweat). We arrived at the first beach/campground after about an hour and had a lemonade there. At this beach, Arrecifes, the currents are too strong to swim, so we continued on to the next one.     ... jungle, up and down steps and across boardwalks and for a small section across the beach. It's pretty dry in the jungle, they have not had rain for a month, which is very unusual.
