... Once again, the different words confused me as they weren't saying the word for closed/close we are used to seeing and it was three and a half hours away and not the one and a half we asked for. Anyway, we get in and grab the bench to start a chest and leg session. A few of the local guys working out were stopping in between their workout to watch us lift. Just gives more fuel to lift more. Won't bore people with the details... but we actually lifted decent ...

The food was actually reasonably priced and apart from the toilets the best thing about the festival so the Kiwis got totally ripped off. Despite trying they never got any refund. ... bronze statue of Carlos Valderrama, a famous Colombian footballer. That's an hour of my life that I will never get back and with the statue rated in the top 10 attractions in Santa Marta, you might get an idea of the city we are staying in. Needless to say, Chris was chuffed. We are here for 2 reasons. 1/ we are heading to Parque Tayrona tomorrow from which this is a gateway. 2/ there is ...

... still late. We slept well in our hammocks under an impressive thunderstorm. The next morning everything was wet and the sun had not come out so we spent a lot of time reading and chatting. The sun finally emerged around 12 so we took our chances and went for a swim. We heard some horror stories from other travellers about their night in the rain and were glad we were where we were. We met a bunch of Aussie who were only in Colombia to snot coke and it was all ...
