    Nach zwei Jahren sind wir endlich wieder angekommen – in der gefühlten Zweitheimat Thailand. Nach einem 12 Stunden Flug von Sydney nach Bangkok kamen wir um 3 Uhr nachts in unserem Hotelzimmer direkt im Rotlichtviertel an. Das Hotel und die Umgebung sind speziell und wir wissen nicht, wie unsere Eltern das aufnehmen werden. :D

    After breakfast we walked to Phra Athit Pier as the day before and took the orange-flag boat to Saphan Phut Pier, near Memorial Bridge. Our plan was to visit the famous Flower Market (Pak Khlong Talat) first, and then walk towards the other important temples on the southern edge of the old Bangkok (Temple of the Reclining Buddha and Temple of the Emerald Buddha).

    ... through China town which has tall sky rise buildings and distinctive brightly coloured re and gold signage with Chinese writing on it. When we arrived we we're taken onto the river side where we saw the boats pull in - ours was called the river star princess!     ... were a really cool group. We told everywhere where we had been and all the stories we had since we have been away. One lady is soon going to Peru to do Machu Picchu so I spoke to her for ages about that. One of Hannah's friends Lewis is head of Hockey for Durham (small world) so I spoke to him a lot about going in October. Everyone there was great fun and a good mix of people visiting for holiday and living in Bangkok. We drunk a lot of champagne before moving onto wine and spirits. ...
