My dad and I coordinated our separate travel plans so that we overlapped in Prague, where we've been staying with my uncle Karel and family. Not a bad place to start off the trip, and an even better place to spend a 21st birthday.
Some things I did:
- Enjoyed the excellent company and immense hospitality of a Czech family I never knew I had.
- Marveled at the price of beer, which is typically ~50 cents (10 Kc), per half-litre in the store

Of course today there is no way to tell what happened here and it is lined with shops. At one end was what a little food village, selling German style food. ... pay for our month long student passes. He was a huge jerk and didn't seem to care that she bought the ticket he still made her pay and was acting like she was going to have to go into jail if the 4 of us didn't have the money on us in cash. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
The rest of the night we hung out in our apartment and a bunch of people ended up coming over! Loving the group so far and can't wait to see what else happens these next few weeks.
