Left the site and walked the 2 miles or so DOWN into Keswick, out the other side through a few fields into Portinscale, gave a little wave to our cottage and followed the signs to the lake, several miles later we arrived at the bottom of Catbells, skirted around this and onto the waters edge, we weren't really sure where the carving was but soon ...

Up to the sun shining, kids playing! Kettle on full English cooked (well French sausages but the rest was English). Left the site around 11am, our aim today was Walla Crag and around Derwentwater. A steady climb to the top left us a pooped out but the view was worth it, the whole of Keswick lay beneath us, with Derwentwater to our left and Bassenthwaite lakes to our right.
