Tilcara Bed and Breakfasts - Reviews and Rates

We carried out our first visit to some ruins today - I´m sure it will be the first of many! They were pretty good - an old fortification on the top of a hill which had been partially restored. The only downer was the monument they had built for the people who found it - a huge pyramid slap bang in the middle of it all - weird decision!

Found a great place to stay in Tilcare, Posada Don Juan. 2 rooms for 200 pesos,or about $66. They are spotless, and every detail taken care of. Something you would pay around $400 a night for in Napa Valley. Tilcare is a dusty little town in Jujuy province in Northern Argentina. We had great empanada's in the market for a peso each. Another early day. We depart Tucaman on the 5am bus... this is quite different that a week ago when I was staying OUT until 5am!
