The Grand Canyon is our next stop, but we were pretty close to the Hoover Dam so we left Vegas in that direction.

On the way in, we saw Lake Mead, a big blue oasis in the desert, kept there by the dam. We moved on into slow traffic to see the dam, but most the cool views were from vantage points only accessible from the fee parking spots...
