Meldenhall Glacier and Helicopter ride

We went on a helicopter ride to one of the glaciers in Juneau, the Meldenhall. It was fabulous and I was scared as I was in the front and could see everything (great once I relaxed) and so took lots of pics to settle my nerves.

It was cloudy and raining, good weather for glaical viewing as it highlights the blue colours apparently.

Touring around Juneau

This morning we drove out to Mendenhall Glacier, its a non-tidewater glacier that is 10 minutes from our hotel. it opens into Mendenhall lake, and you can walk right up to the lake, and get very close to the glacier.
