Fly out and into LA. From what I could see some of the city is actually quite clean and pretty. The landscape is very interesting. The city is built in a valley. Many homes are stacked up high in jagged mountain lines... homes are shanties built on top of one another and the place just feels hot hot hot.

We leave Antigua today - we are a little sad as we didn't get to cover as much ground as we had hoped to - but we were very happy with what we did experience. After breakfast I convinced Jim to go to the large market with me as I wanted to get some candles for his St. Maximon saint - so we wandered in the labyrinth of the Mercado. Jim was amazed...
