... As you may know, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth. The mountain range beside the Dead Sea is quite spectacular, huge cliffs of sandstone with many caves. Many, many caves - and yes, this the area where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Once we arrived at the foot of Masada, we rode the cable car to the top.
