Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. ... evening. We ended up being stranded in a town in the middle of Nowhere, Germany and ended up staying the night in an odd little inn. We got up early the next morning to catch a 6:30am train and were back on our way. After a full 24 hours of traveling, we finally reached our hostel and were able to check in to our rooms at long last. It was a total fluke of a stop and although we never intended to, we added a pin in our map somewhere in northern Germany.
... gates, then on another 1.5kms to our position on the inside of the circuit. Only problem was that 10,000 other people had arrived at same spot even EARLIER than us!
We walked around the hill far enough to find a spot, just on the edge of a hill to set our chairs. With a tv screen directly in front, views down a straight, into a corner and then back across to the main straight and grandstands in the distance, we were quite pleased with our find!
Up earlyish at 6.30am. Lovely breakfast at 7.30am. Pastries every morning is lovely but I miss my toast and vegemite. Left for track at about 8.30am. Good run there. Interesting parking in parking 36 trying to avoid the mud. I had to get out so two parking peeps could push the car back with Brad driving and them yelling "don't stop". Went to our seats and watched supports ...
... hole in the seam! I demanded our money back and off we set to find a red bull umbrella to support our driver.
It wasn't to be. They had sold out! Bugger. I told Andy that we needed to buy one before the race tomorrow as I wasn't prepared to risk being as wet as we were tomorrow, so we agreed to look for one in the stands outside the circuit gate.
