Absolutely loving North Vancouver, so desided to stay a few more days on the North Shore with Darren and Chrissie in their amazing 26 floor Penthouse apartment!
And took complete advantage of their knowledge of the mountains.
We went to Mount Seymour Provincial Park for my first 'big' hike.
A good 8km hike up and down Elsa Lake Trail. Although if Darren had his way it would of been 16km!!
I have to admit I was nervous of potential bears and wild cats... But ...

... so much, & seen so much, we have lots of great memories but it's hard to remember it all, thank goodness I did this blog! It certainly was a whale of a trip in more ways than one - a trip of a lifetime!!

... br> We travelled through the beautiful Tongariro National Park, through Rotorua until we finally arrived in Lake Rotoiti. Lake Rotoiti (pronounced Ro-toe- wheati and don't ask me where we get the “w” in that pronuncition) is about a 15 minute drive north of Lake Rotorua. We are staying in Angela’s brother’s batch which is a 2 minute walk from the lake front.

... a fabulous gay bar! Not that we were looking for one, obviously, but we were attracted to this place because of its patio area. It was full of blokes but we didn't think anything of that, but then the penny dropped!
