À couper le souffle... C'est une vraie oasis...on a quitté les terres désertiques et, tout d'un coup, on passe les montagnes, par un long long tunnel (et très étroit; les camping-car ont besoin d'escorte, nous, ça va, on est limite) : et le paysage change complètement, la végétation est luxuriante, un vrai microclimat. Beaucoup de petites cascades qui se jettent en bas sur des longs parois de roche. Plein de sentiers magnifiques.

... wir uns bald wieder vereint an den Abstieg machen. Der fällt uns sehr leicht und nach insgesamt drei Stunden sind wir zurück an der Bushaltestelle. Haken dran!



Nun wollen wir unsere absolute Lieblingswanderung im Zion angehen - die Narrows. Bei unserem allerersten Besuch in diesem Park sind wir bei relativ niedrigem Pegelstand gute zwei Stunden den engen Canyon des Virgin River hinaufgewandert. ...

... Richtung Fredonia nähern wir uns einer ausgeschilderten Baustelle, da liegt etwas quer über die Straße. Es ist ein Truck. Woah! PKW werden einfach über die Wiese umgeleitet, Wohnmobile und andere LKW haben Pech. Das wird eine Weile dauern, ehe die den von der Straße haben.

To get to the very top the path follows the crest of a thin ridge with chains to hang on to and some spectacular drops off either side.
