... because of a little stank, we had nothing to worry about, the fishy smell was overpowering. It was a good thing that we went full because if we had not we would have more than likely spent a good chunk of change enjoying the fresh catches. Instead we headed back to the site for sunset, an early fire and leftover curry for dinner. The rest of the evening was spent crocheting and blogging.

... and I observed. It was a great walk on the beach and Holden even made a sand angel on our way back to the car!

Saturday morning we made campground reservations for Crater Lake for Sunday and Monday nights. We also made a group trip to Fred Myers, where uncle Gabe bought Holden a cool new lego set, which they put together that afternoon. Martha bought this really cool magnetic nail polish, and we both painted our toes - with some lovely artwork by ...

... that is still under construction and not open to traffic. One section of new road had cut Christmas trees lying on it! That part of the old road has the white line on the edge of the pavement, with no shoulder to the road as it twists and turns through the coastal range of mountains. We travelled hwy 126 out of Eugene in the spring and found the whole distance like this. Hwy 20 had no steep slopes ...
