      ... or 10 hour flight and I was loopy. But we made some good discoveries on Day 2. We toured the University of Bologna a bit, which is Europe's oldest university. Our library tour allowed for no photographs, which is fine. It left more room on my phone for food porn. That's what really matters here.

      I also bought toothpaste on this magnificent day, which brings me to my chosen TravelPod title. ...

      ... on a Monday. Nor did we quite appreciate that the Italians like to siesta in the afternoon so much is closed after lunch. However there is much to visually appreciate and the odd church to pop into (Jules lit the odd candle). Very lovely frescos in most of the churches.       Arrived safely after an uneventful journey. Gatwick as busy as ever. Easy Jet is fine has aeroplane with wings and engines that gets you where you want. What else is needed?? Bologna has a very old centre and a sprawling superb. It is a bit of a centre of travel with a hub railway station and airport. Over the years the old city walls have been knocked down but some remain to define the old city from the newer bits. Sadly raining quite hard which rather limits sightseeing. ...
