          Although brief we had a great time with Gus and Kat. Through out our trip we had been accumulating bits and pieces of unique food items. Shrimp and salmon from Alaska, sausages from the Yukon, and back bacon from British Colombia all awaiting the feasts prepared for Gus and Kat. I had a great time planning and preparing.           ... house by the sea - the sun shining and the sounds of the surf..... Dinner was these amazing fresh crabs and salad, preceded by oysters that Amr shucked!! Then came the hilarity part.           ... the Sitka Spruce and did a little Geo Caching. The Sitka Spruce is believe to be the oldest living thing in Oregon. It was struck by lightning 50 years ago and in 2007 it was knocked down by hurricane force winds. You can see the large lightning scar on the trunk.
