Overall I really liked 'Frisco. I could have had a better time here with a bigger budget. Their Bloodies are the best. But I actually preferred Chicago. After a short and sweet trip to California, it was time to return to South America - this time to Peru to meet up with our good friends Marisa & Muzz so we could take on the Inca Trail.

We arrived back at the hostel ready for some relaxation. I showered, wrote some blog posts, and then introduced Seb to the amazingness that is Team America – I couldn’t believe he had never seen it before! For shame. What an appropriate social critique to experience while travelling America. After that, a delicious sleep in our plushy ...

... to say the least. The kids are not all that impressed by Lombard, but we can check it off the list now.

We head downtown so we can cross the bay bridge into Oakland and begin our journey out towards Yosemite to spend the night. As it is 7pm on a weeknight, we are still dealing with the tail end of rush hour, but it is an amazing difference between the crowds down by the wharf, and the financial district which is quickly becoming a ghost ...
