... We did go for a walk in the woods, about 3 miles; it was a beautiful day. Later to Tulips Chinese and had a good salmon dinner. Phil had Bass fish.

August 31st-Up early. Today is the Feast of St Anthony festival and we will meet Saul at the Y and walk the 3 miles to North End in time to see the parade. Weather is a bit iffy this morning so will take jackets. Things never go as planned-We arrived at the Y and no Saul! Called and called him ...

... all of us holding up traffic!! At the harbor we found seats and watched and listened to the drama played out on the ship as the tea was finally dumped into the water! A very moving evening. ... not join us for dinner at the Persian place, so off we went for lamb stew-great! Back home for a while and then to Italia for a drink. We met Kate and Bob there- a nice couple. Her husband had been on the second plane that crashed the twin towers on 9/11! She didn’t connect it as she thought he has taken an earlier plane as was in LA at the time of the crash. ... sup>th Tuesday- French toast morning and later off to the beach. Just Paul and some older guy named Joe were there. Phil swam several times and I did go in the water but it is COLD-I only made it in as far as my knees. Sold a couple of books at the new small store by Pauls Condo building.
