Mountain City, Georgia, population 784. Stop in at the Foxfire Museum for a self-guided tour of Appalachian artifacts housed in a mountain cabin. Buy the entire Foxfire series of books on Appalachian handicrafts in the gift shop. Stay at York House B&B Inn on Yorkhouse Road, it's a B&B with a country flair and has been there since 1896.

... a party on Monday night. Next stop was Paul H about a mile away. He decorates his house with so many ‘antique’ Christmas items that I love to look at them. You have to look carefully as many are tucked away in unsuspecting places! Enjoyed our visit and headed home-About 4 miles away the phone rand and it was Paul saying I had dropped my Charlie Card on his floor. That is my bus/train pass card so need it. ... to Sabatino’s for a drink. Sat down at the bar and found we were next to Joe and Paul Murphy who had seen the notice in the paper and came to the reading! We spent the rest of the time there talking with them and found out that Paul lived very close to Phil when he was in Stoneham and he still lives there-they knew some of the same people. Home to relax and off to bed. A successful evening.

... very much! We talked with several people and handed out some cards on the book. One gal works as a lawyer for Dept of Justice, very interesting. Leaving the lake we headed to the Brothers Deli- a Greek place we like for a lite meal. I had their great beef stew and Phil had 2 huge sausages and homemade baked beans that were excellent. I spent a several lovely hours in a nearby beach town today, with two of my good friends. It was wonderful to spend time with the ocean, and with my friends.
