... stops and got off to have something to eat at Faniuel Hall. Then hopped on and got off at Beacon hill. Walked around a bit and caught the trolley back to the wharf and caught the ferry back to Salem. Greg did not like Boston ... Too many people, too much ...

... US tourists asking us. The cities were a bit overwhelming after travelling through the little back roads out in the countryside. Especially coming into Boston after going through the New England area. The narrow streets and confusing street signs. A lot of the streets were one way but cars were parked on both sides of the street. I certainly wouldn't want to be there in the winter with the snow ploughs going down the street. ... but Phil had decided to get drunk and it worked! At 1:30 the night manager came in an asked us to go to bed-we really weren’t loud, but it was late –and Phil argued with her, loudly and she called the police, who did not come, and then they went at it again and finally I got him into our room, and later a knock and there were the police! Phil talked to them, gave them a card on his book and they left. I did not get to sleep till around 5, and up at 7! But- Happy New ...

... he left we did go to Italia for a drink. I have discovered a good one! Called an Espresso Martini –vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, Bailey’s Irish Cream and espresso with a bit of cinnamon/nutmeg sprinkled on top!!! Totally good! Back home to relax and bed.
