... we were welcomed with a drink by our really friendly host at the cafe across the road.

It was Christine’s first time to Rome and perhaps my third or fourth so I took her to all the big sites - Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain (which happened to be empty and being restored), Spanish Steps, Vatican City, etc. We also (of course) enjoyed the local food and drink and stumbled across a gem of a local pizza shop for ...

We enjoyed coffee and lemon cake at a lovely little cafe on the ...

Hardworking men in small rowboats pick up the tourists in groups of three of four and take them in and out of the cave. Their enthusiasm is half the experience. They joke and jostle with each other and the motorboat drivers and have fun explaining how to enter the cave: basically "keep your head and ...

... of the meal, which I can barely remember we were just about to leave when the owner of the restaurant came over with a complimentary limoncello, it would have been rude to refuse. I staggered home via the gelato shop and we had our last ice cream in Sorrento....(it is Sorrento isn't Kerry?)PS Because we didn't do anything exciting today I thought I would include a few more photo's from yesterday's excursion on the Amalfi ...
