Holiday winding down now. Tour starts at 7:45 am. We go to Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast. It's an 8 1/2 hour tour takes 2 1/2 hours to drive back to ship once we are done sightseeing.Looks like it's going to be sunny , blue skies. Today after a great breakfast buffet at the hotel, we explored old town Sorrento. We wandered along the quaint streets and happened upon Franco's art shop. He invited us in and Dawn found a great original water colour of the cliff by our hotel on the Bay of Naples. This was our second time in Sorrento but back in 2009 we briefly passed through on our way back to the Amalfi Coast. ...

The Archaeological Museum in Naples was our destination today. We dawdled this morning and caught the 10:00 am ferry, letting the commuters have the 8:00 am departure for themselves. My advice to anyone making a cruise stop or going to Pompeii is to include the Museum in your itinerary. Sorrento is lovely. We had a wander around the town and coast line which is very pretty. It started to rain and we ducked into an archway and stumbled upon a wedding in this courtyard area. String quartet playing as well! There are no real beaches here but rather jetties with beach chairs and umbrellas lined up along them. Very strange.
