Do as you want day

... taxi tour. The water is magnificent with colours of green, aqua and turquoise. We saw grottos and spectacular cliffs and houses. After a coffee and cake, we were lucky to be approached by a youngish local taxi driver who charged us 100 euro for a private tour in his open taxi. There are 72 taxies in Capri and we got a great one. His English was very good. We visited Ana-Capri which is at the top of ...

Sorrento is famous for limoncello, stunning views and inlaid wood (an inlaid wood dining table can cost $16000). To tour Sorrento start up high to catch it's stunning views of the Bay of Naples. Then wander the paved alleyways and explore the various shops and cafes. We bought a hand carved chess set and had it shipped to Australia. Pompeii is the obvious tour in this part of the world and it is amazing to wander a city that was reasonably intact, preserved by the ash ...

Back To Positano

... Positano would never become a tourist haven of the rich, as he could not imagine the ladies in all their finery walking up and down all the steps in the heat of summer. He was wrong on that account. As we are making our way down to the lower levels of town, we stop into a hotel to ask if we could go out on the terrace to take some pictures. The guy said ...
