Today we drove down to Lake Geneva, a lake near the Illinois border, and had a ride on the mail boat. You might have seen this on TV - it's been on news and travel programs. Click here to see one from NBC Nightly News.

This is one of the few places where mail is still delivered by boat. The mail boat goes ...

... to Delavan. Tracy and her friends happened to be going right through there 5 minutes after I arrived and they picked me up. Couldn't have been any better if we had planned it. The Fish Fry in Elkhorn was fantastic as always. Saturday - Nice hike on the Kettle Moraine trail. Nice way to start the day. Went to Elkhorn's Main Street Day. Big arts and crafts fair on the town square and visited with some old friends there. Roasted corn on the cob is always good. Tracy's ...

My Grandma died in 2000, so we were expecting the tree to follow; however, this legend was broken as the tree is ...

Well, all the lazing reading and listening to the critters means we had some chores to get done, so today, that is what we did. House cleaning.
As a reward we got to watch the fire flies again tonight AND we got woken up at 2:30 in the morning by a HUGE thunder and lightening storm! Loved it!

Okay, I have dried dozens of times to attach a video of the fireflies, but it just won't work. If it ever does, I will let you know. Sorry.

    Jeep Ad??

We took a drive into Rockford today. May I say...BOO! There was one small stretch of land that had some beautiful houses on a lake, but other than that...everything we saw was broken down, run down, empty and trashed. The "highway" runs right through town but we just couldn't get out of there quite fast enough.
We came back to camp and Mike decided to detail the Jeep a bit. I, on the other hand, just enjoyed the view. I think you can understand why ;-)
