... beach and location on the island. Try to get a good map and the time schedule. We had problems, because everything was in Japanese. Marcin found a very good map in English and at the bus station are the schedule in English, take a picture with your pad or cell. That helps. 1.) When you have enough money, you can take a taxi. Sorry not for us. 2.) When you have enough time, patience and luck you can try hitchhiking. There is no typical sign you can ...

Our hotel, Painu Maya Resort Hotel, was quite far from Ohara Port. So we called a rental car shop as soon as we arrived at the port. Two minutes later, they picked us up and took us to their office. Ten minutes later, we headed off to our hotel. There is only one road in Iriomote, so it seemed easy to reach the hotel, but it was not, because there were few signboards on the road. I heard that it was difficult to build new signboards on the street, because the area was ...

... the right time. Then we headed north to Tamatorizaki Lookout. Although we had to walk a little bit to the lookout, a view from there was wonderful. I thought my mum couldn't walk to the lookout, but she walked all the way with some breaks. On the way, some hibiscus were blooming. Then we drove to Hirakubozaki Lookout at the north tip of Ishigaki Island. A view from there was also gorgeous and we had lunch on the steps to the lighthouse. ...
